Luxury at its finest.
Located on the peninsula of The Palm, The One & Only Palm possesses one of the most exclusive and peaceful locations in Dubai. The Luxury boutique hotel has privileged views of Dubai’s new sky line, as well as boasting an intimate form of privacy concealed on the cusp of the Palm. This creates a contemporary island feel whilst being only a 10 minute taxi journey into the buzzing cosmopolitan city of Dubai. The private Marina also allows you to access the hotel by private boat or water taxi.
Having visited Dubai over the past 14 years, I have found The One & Only retreat to provide the highest degree of intimacy, however, its guests accommodation is amongst the largest of boutique resorts in Dubai with 90 rooms and suites and four Private Beach Villas. The One & Only accompanies a 450 metre private beach, with sections of the beach allocated to guests with Private Beach Villas. The decor is contemporary, yet maintains an authentic and traditional style. With central courtyards, immaculate manicured lawns and arched entryways, the resort is exquisite for design. The rooms are modern, spacious and impossible to be flawed. They are created in such a way to feel sumptuous yet personal and homely, I was ready to move in! The over-sized beds and free standing bathtub, easily won me over making this my favourite hotel in Dubai as of yet. The One & Only is classic yet chic, they could not have got it any better.
As Cliche as this sounds simply staying at The Only & Only was the highlight of my trip. At first I was unsure of the location, having being used to staying on Jumeriah Beach road with such easy access into the city. However, this grew on me, I realised the location of the hotel was worth every extra minute of my journey. I went over Easter break so I loved the personalised easter egg I received in my hotel room on Easter day. The stunning surroundings also made my job to create visually appealing blog posts extra easy! I enjoyed the best of both worlds, tranquility in the day and buzzing city life in the evening.
The service in Dubai is set to such a high stanrdard, I always find it hard to find anywhere else in the world quite like it. The One & Only has now made this search even harder, with the most impeccable hospitality – they could not do anything more for you. With genuine hospitality and lively energy this created a homelike ambience, it did not take long for me to get settled, which is always an important factor. The hotel also provides a spa, gym and kids club. Although The One & Only is child friendly, I would not recommend it for those with children.
There’s a choice of three ZEST, Stay by Yannick Alléno and 101. I ate at 101 which had a really cool vibe and often went there or to the hotel lobby bar for evening drinks, as in most places I stay I like to go out for dinner for a change of scenery. My recommendations outside of the hotel: Roberto’s, La Serre, Zuma, Sass Cafe and Toko
Will I be back
Absolutely yes! I am hoping to visit over next Easter break. The ambience, stunning design and beautiful guest rooms, is what makes The One & Only a memorable stay with a difference.
A stay at The One & Only Palm peak season starts from £963 per night see www.thepalm.oneandonlyresorts.com for more info.
