A Luxurious London Hotel, in a perfect central location.
About
A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of staying at the Metropolitan by COMO, London who hosted me over London Fashion Week. Situated on Old Park Lane, this was the perfect location as It’s only a short drive to LFW’s new location, Brewer Street Car Park. However, London Fashion Week isn’t the only one to have had a change of scenery. The renowned Metropolitan by COMO, has had a make-over and this revamp is a huge change from it’s past, which was in the politest way possible simple, outdated and not so appealing on the eye. However, the past has past and Metropolitan by COMO, London is back with a bang! And, has evolved into one of London’s most luxurious hotels. Being a hotel snob, I know luxury when I see it and it’s evident that to Met by COMO, comfort is key.
Decor
The refurbishment now sees the Metropolitan by COMO, London hotel boasting a contemporary interior throughout. The furniture is luxurious and the hotel owns serious technology system, where by everything in our suite (City Suite) was operated by a touch of a button (a wide-screen connected to the phone) from lights, air con to electronic blinds! The suite also featured two wide-screen tv’s with over 70 channels and a sound system. This high-tech room is a bloggers dream and not forgetting copious amounts of storage space and mirrors! I always pick at hotels lack of mirrors and dim – lighting. However, the Metropolitan by COMO, London certainly took this on board with plenty of mirrors and great lighting, so we’re not struggling to do our make up! A nice touch were yoga mats hiding in the wardrobe, which must fit into Met by COMO, London’s new wellbeing scheme. Following this was the goodie draw, which sat on-top of the mini bar full of playful treats such sweets, panadol, hand-sanitizer and so on!
Hospitality
During my one-night stay at the Metropolitan by Como, London I experienced warm and attentive staff. My stay was short and sweet, but the service was flawless.
Dining
Situated in the Metropolitan by COMO, London is the worldwide iconic Japanese restaurant, Nobu. All food lovers will know that this restaurant is not to go a miss whatever country you’re in, especially when it’s located in your hotel. Breakfast is served in the White Room or by Room Service, as evident in the photos our breakfast was divine and Met by COMO were extremely generous with portion sizes. Metropolitan by COMO, London are also renowned for their Met Bar, one of the liveliest bars in London. The bar has also expanded and they have now shifted their ‘original members only policy’.
Spa
Metropolitan by COMO, London’s spa features asian-inspired therapies from COMO Shambhala Urban Escape. I treated myself to their signature treatment, the COMO Shambhala massage, which is a top to toe full body massage. This treatment was heavenly and I would recommend to everyone including those not staying at the hotel. It was the perfect way unwind after a busy day at fashion week and the spa was beautiful.
Highlight
The bed, I didn’t want to get out of bed! I’t was hands down the comfiest hotel bed as of yet – it was like a giant marshmallow.
Will I be back?
